Civil Process Location

Sheriff’s Civil Process Division relocating to the Virginia Beach Courthouse

Effective today, the Civil Process Division of the Virginia Beach Sheriff’s Office is relocating from Building 7 to Building 10B of the Municipal Center. Court clerks, attorneys and members of the public needing to pick up or drop off civil paperwork, such as subpoenas or eviction notices, should visit the new location.

The new location is in the Court Support building attached to the Courthouse at 2425 Nimmo Parkway. A public entrance is also available off James Madison Boulevard. Civil Process is in room C124B on the first floor near Community Corrections.

The customer service window formerly located at Building 7 – the Sheriff’s Office building at 2501 James Madison Blvd. – is now closed.

The move is designed to make it easier to move paperwork between the court clerks’ offices and Civil Process. For more information, Civil Process can be reached during normal business hours, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., at 757-385-6336.
