The Virginia Beach Sheriff's Office does not provide criminal records/background checks. For background checks, email vbpd@vbgov.com or contact Virginia State Police .
2025 Holiday Closures & Cancellations
Most City of Virginia Beach facilities and state agencies will be closed Wednesday through Friday, Dec. 24-26, for the Christmas holiday, and Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026, in observance of the New Year. The Virginia Beach Courthouse will be closed Dec. 24-26 and Dec. 31-Jan. 1. Full details at virginiabeach.gov .
The Weekender Program is CANCELED for this weekend, Dec. 26-28. Weekenders do not need to report on Friday, Dec. 26.
