Sheriff Rocky Holcomb and legendary Coach Cadillac Harris are hosting a youth football camp on Thursday, July 24, through Saturday, July 26, at Green Run High School. The camp is free and open to Virginia Beach rising 6th, 7th and 8th graders for the 2025-26 school year. During the camp, attendees will have the opportunity to learn the fundamental skills of the game, offense and defense, led by some of the area’s best football coaches and players, all sharing success stories and advice.

Parents/guardians will need to arrange transportation to and from the camp. VBSO personnel will be on-site for the duration of the camp. Breakfast and lunch will be provided, with a cookout and award ceremony on the final day of the camp.

What to Expect

Each day begins with stretching and agility. The majority of each day focuses on the fundamentals, including both offensive and defensive drills. Day 3 will end with a cookout and awards ceremony.

Staff

Volunteers for the camp consist of VBSO employees, student athletes, and celebrity athletes, all working under the direction of Coach Cadillac Harris.

Transportation

Parents/guardians are responsible for arranging transportation for their children to the Youth Football Camp at Green Run.

Yes, each child must have an application submitted.

Registration begins all three days at 8 a.m. The camp starts punctually at 9 a.m. all three days but ends at 1 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and noon on Saturday.

A parent or guardian must be present to register/check in their child.

  • During registration, your child will receive a FREE T-shirt to be worn on all three days of camp.
  • We advise your child to wear athletic shorts and sneakers/cleats.
  • If possible, we recommend your child bring a water bottle (it doesn't have to be a reusable bottle, just one that can be refilled if needed).
  • Lunch and water will be provided on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The camp will conclude on Saturday with a cookout and awards ceremony.

The camp will take place rain or shine!

We recommend your child wear or bring sunscreen if necessary.

Absolutely! There will be an area for parents who wish to stay. We encourage parents to attend the championship game on Saturday.

This camp requires no previous experience, play, or skills to attend.

All scrimmages or games will be played flag-football style.
